CUTEK® Colortone Tints

CUTEK® Colortone is a UV-resistant pigment designed specifically to be mixed with CUTEK® Extreme. It allows you to enhance or change the appearance of your wood while still allowing its natural grain, texture and character to remain visible. Tints 1 gallon of CUTEK Extreme.

Works with CUTEK® Extreme
CUTEK® Extreme penetrates deep into the wood to help manage moisture and improve dimensional stability. CUTEK® Colortone adds transparent color and UV protection closer to the surface.CUTEK® Colortone is not applied on its own. It is mixed directly into CUTEK® Extreme before application.

Helps slow UV weathering
When exposed to sunlight, wood naturally begins to fade and silver. CUTEK® Colortone pigments help absorb UV light, slowing this natural weathering process while the pigment remains present.

Enhances - rather than hides the wood
CUTEK® Colortone is transparent, so the wood underneath remains an important part of the final appearance. Its species, natural color, grain and texture all influence the finished result.

That’s why the same CUTEK® Colortone can look different on different woods - and why testing on your actual wood is always recommended.

Designed to fade, not peel
Rather than forming a colored film over the wood, CUTEK® Colortone gradually fades and wears with exposure. When the color reaches a point you’d like to refresh, simply clean and recoat with CUTEK® Extreme and your chosen Colortone.

IMPORTANT: CUTEK® Colortone is designed only for use with CUTEK® Extreme. Do not add it to third-party coatings.
